The Subaru Ascent Stands Out in Many Ways
The Ascent is Subaru's largest vehicle. As a three-row SUV with a strong engine, it's exactly what many people in Ukiah, CA are looking for.
Performance
You'll find a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine under the hood of the new Subaru Ascent. The engine gives it 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. It feels strong and agile, even in challenging situations, thanks to standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. This type of all-wheel drive gives the Ascent great stability. Whenever it's experiencing a loss of traction, power-delivery can be adjusted. Sometimes, it might be beneficial to have power sent to all four-wheels. In other cases, it might be better to send power to a certain set, since they may have better grip with the road or trail.
X-MODE® is a system that further enhances all-wheel-drive capability. Hill descent control is another standard component that prevents the Ascent from picking up too much speed while traveling downhill. Towing capacity of the base trim is 2,000 pounds. On all the other trims, the maximum towing capacity is 5,000 pounds.
Technology
For those of our customers who love technology, there's plenty of good news. Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® are standard, as are HD Radio™ and SiriusXM®. There are many ways to stay entertained while on the road. Stream a podcast or playlist, play music you've downloaded or choose from the dozens of channels available through satellite radio. Most of the Subaru Ascent trims also have Wi-Fi capability, so you can stay connected to the Internet and can more easily stream content.
The base trim has a touchscreen that measures 6.5 inches. The others all have 8.0-inch touchscreens. Navigation is an available feature that can give you turn-by-turn directions as well as traffic updates. A Harman Kardon quantum surround sound system is also available. It comes with 14 speakers and an amplifier.
Interior and Exterior Features
One of the main reasons why the Subaru Ascent is so popular is because of its size. Its middle row is quite spacious, having about 40 inches of leg room. Its third row also has a decent amount of leg room. Having those extra seats in the back can be very convenient. This means that there is a nice amount of cargo space in the Ascent. When all the rear seats are folded down, there's over 76 cubic feet of storage space.
Depending on your trim, you could either have a bench seat or captain's chairs in the middle row. The bench seat would give you a total of eight passengers. The captain's chairs would open up more space in the cabin, but it would decrease your seating capacity to seven. Available interior features are plentiful. You can get a new Ascent with heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel and leather upholstery.
The Subaru Ascent manages to look rugged and upscale at the same time. It can have 18-inch or 20-inch wheels, and it's available with a power panoramic glass moonroof. LED steering responsive headlights are standard, with LED fog lights being optional. All trims have raised roof rails, too.
